~From the AADCP President~

On behalf of the Executive Board of the Arizona Association of Drug Court Professionals (AADCP) welcome to our updated website!  The AADCP is an organization whose members include judges, attorneys, probation officers, treatment providers, clinical staff, and court administrators, all of whom work in conjunction with Problem Solving Courts across the State of Arizona.  The AADCP seeks to provide training and networking opportunities for all Arizona Problem Solving Courts, whether they operate in rural, urban, or tribal settings, and whatever the population served, including but not limited to Drug Courts, Mental Health Courts, Veterans Courts, and Dependency Courts.  With the assistance of Arizona State University’s Center for Applied Behavioral Health Policy, the AADCP conducts an Annual Problem Solving Court Conference, which provides training on a variety of topics delivering the latest in best practices for problem solving courts statewide.

One of the goals of this website is to provide a way of keeping Problem Solving Court Professionals connected to each other and with the latest research and informational websites relevant to the work they do in the problem solving courts arena.  Additionally, since this is your association, we encourage you to get involved.  Consider joining one of our committees, such as the Training Committee, co-chaired by Executive Board members, Michelle Hart and Karen Barnes, or the Media/Outreach Committee, co-chaired by Executive Board members, Dan Carrion, Susan Alameda, and Robin Hoskins.  You could also run for office on the Executive Board as those positions come available.  In the future, we hope to gather information through surveys of membership regarding any local training needs that the AADCP can help plan and conduct throughout the various regions of the state.

We welcome you again to the association and to our updated website.  If you have any questions or if you need more information about the AADCP, please feel free to reach out to one of our Executive Board members.

Sincerely,

Carey Snyder Hyatt

AADCP President

Maricopa County Drug Court Judge (Ret.)
